If you ever wanted to make jewelry or rosaries out of beads that carried the lovely soft scent of roses, but did not want to go through the labor intensive work of making the rose petal clay, you may be interested in pre-made quality rose petal clay!
I have made this clay from white and yellow rose petals that I gathered myself. The process takes many hours and a few days to complete. First, I cook and blend the petals four times to make a smooth grain clay. Next, I gently heat the mixture to remove the excess water, frequently stirring it until it forms a nice batch of clay. This step takes constant attention and several days. Then I add some pretty rose essential oil until the fragrance is noticeable, but not too strong, since the roses I gather do not have much of a scent.
The scented rose petal clay is wrapped and ready to use or to freeze, if not using right away. The kit includes enough clay to make 100 or more brown beads (6-8 mm), instructions, and non-stick work surface paper. Packaged and ready for gift giving!
